Our client is seeking a Private Client Services Officer to join their Guernsey office on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will work within an experienced Client Services team, providing outstanding day-to-day support to Private Banking clients across general banking and execution-only custody services. The role offers the opportunity to enhance and expand skills in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
Job Duties:
- Support Private Banking clients with their daily banking and custody requirements
- Deliver an exceptional client experience by providing prompt, efficient, and professional service
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures and assist with implementation of enhancements
- Promote and support the use of the Bank’s online banking platform, including payment processing, account viewing, and reporting
- Assist with the roll-out and testing of online banking enhancements and updates
- Provide support for projects and operations queries
- Identify and refer sales opportunities to the relevant teams within the Bank
- Assist with payment, foreign exchange, securities, and fixed deposit transactions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements at all times
- Maintain a strong awareness of operational risks and escalate where appropriate
Job Requirements:
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills
- Organised and proactive with excellent planning and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently while recognising when to escalate issues
- Collaborative team player with the ability to influence and gain buy-in from colleagues and leadership
- Good knowledge of private banking markets in Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man, and London
- Strong understanding of safe custody services
- Good knowledge of banking and payment systems
- Familiarity with account opening, client due diligence (CDD), and risk review processes
- Solution-oriented with a commercial mindset
- Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt quickly to new processes
