Our client is seeking an experienced finance professional to join their Finance Operations team as an Assistant Manager. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to support the Finance Operations Manager in overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions across jurisdictions including Jersey, Guernsey, Hong Kong, and London. This role is suited to an organised, collaborative individual who thrives in a dynamic, professional services environment.
Job Duties:
- Support the Finance Operations Manager in managing accounts payable and receivable processes
- Oversee daily financial transaction processing to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies
- Coach and develop team members to achieve operational goals and personal development objectives
- Ensure timely completion of daily and month-end bank reconciliations across various currencies and jurisdictions
- Maintain and improve processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls
- Manage cash inflows to ensure compliance with relevant policies and accurate record-keeping
- Administer client monies accounts, ensuring appropriate due diligence and clean audit outcomes
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and duties as required by the Finance Operations Manager or Finance leadership team
Job Requirements:
- Degree-level education and/or a professional finance qualification desirable
- Demonstrable experience working in a finance operations role, ideally in a professional services or partnership environment
- Proven ability to manage and develop a team effectively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a focus on accuracy and results
- Initiative-driven with sound decision-making capabilities
- Working knowledge of financial reporting systems in a complex business environment
