Senior Manager, Compliance

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Compliance Manager to join their Guernsey-based Compliance team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a senior-level appointment with regulatory responsibilities under the Guernsey Financial Services Commission (GFSC) framework for both Trust and Fund services. The successful candidate will take a lead role in developing and maintaining the compliance monitoring programme, while providing expert guidance and assurance across all areas of the business.

Job Duties:

  • Act as a named individual under the GFSC’s regulatory framework for both Trust and Fund business
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance monitoring programme
  • Provide timely, clear, and pragmatic regulatory advice to business units, senior management, and governance committees
  • Deliver compliance assurance across a range of fiduciary and fund structures
  • Oversee and review internal policies and procedures to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments and communicate changes effectively within the organisation
  • Collaborate with other departments to support a strong compliance culture across the business
  • Lead, mentor, and support junior members of the compliance team

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a senior compliance role within financial services
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. ICA Diploma)
  • In-depth knowledge of Guernsey’s fiduciary and fund services sectors
  • Strong understanding of corporate, trust, and fund structures
  • Proven track record in regulatory compliance and risk management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and provide clear guidance to senior stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and analytical skills
