Trainee Pension Trust Officer

Our client is seeking a Trainee Pension Trust Officer to join their Guernsey office a full-time basis. This flexible role is ideal for a recent graduate—particularly someone who has completed a bursary scheme with a pension provider—or an individual with some existing trust or pension administration experience. The successful candidate will support the administration of a portfolio of pension schemes, including QNUPS and RNUPS, while gaining valuable experience and training in a supportive environment.

Job Duties:

• Assist in the administration of a portfolio of pension clients and act as a point of contact
• Support the processing of GAD calculations, benefit payments, contributions, and transfers
• Help arrange redemptions from client assets for income or lump sum payments
• Prepare trustee minutes, pension statements, reports, and other client documentation
• Communicate with members and investment advisers regarding payments and queries
• Maintain accurate client records and update diaries
• Undertake other duties as reasonably requested

Job Requirements:

• Recent graduate or early-career professional with an interest in pension or trust administration
• Previous experience in a fiduciary, trust or pension role is desirable but not essential
• Willingness to study towards a relevant professional qualification (e.g. STEP or CGI)
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive and eager to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable to meet business needs
