Temporary Senior Paralegal - 9 months

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Paralegal to join their legal team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This role will support the in-house legal function in delivering advice on company law, trust law, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. The successful candidate will be involved in drafting legal documentation, reviewing internal policies, assisting with legal projects, and supporting legal reporting and administrative processes. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience across a wide spectrum of legal and compliance matters within a global organisation.

Job Duties:

  • Draft and update precedent documents, including template minutes, resolutions, and other standard materials for internal use
  • Prepare legal documents to facilitate client transactions such as trust distributions, loan arrangements, and changes to trust beneficiaries
  • Maintain legal workstreams and central inboxes, ensuring tasks are tracked and actioned efficiently
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly legal updates for board meetings
  • Contribute to the review and updating of internal policies and procedures
  • Monitor legal developments and case law relevant to the organisation, particularly in Guernsey and the UK
  • Support the legal team with ongoing internal legal projects and initiatives
  • Undertake ad hoc legal research and drafting as required

Job Requirements:

  • Law degree or equivalent legal qualification
  • Understanding of the Guernsey or offshore legal and regulatory environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Able to work independently and manage workload with minimal supervision
  • A team-oriented and client-focused approach
  • Commitment to personal development and continuous learning
