Customer Service Advisor

Our client is seeking a Customer Service Advisor to join their Customer Experience team on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week. This role can be based in Guernsey or the Isle of Man and requires flexible shift work including evenings, weekends, and public holidays on a rota basis. The successful candidate will act as a first point of contact for customers, providing support across various channels while delivering a high standard of service and promoting a range of telecommunications products and services.

Job Duties:

  • Respond to inbound and outbound customer queries across phone and online platforms
  • Offer advice and support on technical issues, general queries, and service requests
  • Promote and provide information on broadband, mobile, fibre, and ancillary services
  • Deliver an excellent customer experience by meeting customer needs and resolving issues
  • Log, assess, and resolve faults and queries, providing first call resolution where possible
  • Complete order processing accurately to support timely service delivery
  • Maintain accurate customer records and perform administrative duties including data entry
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with customers, enhancing retention and satisfaction
  • Liaise with internal teams to report and escalate major service issues promptly
  • Adhere to all regulatory, data protection, and health and safety responsibilities
  • Participate in required training related to information security, financial crime prevention, and data protection
  • Undergo a Basic Police Disclosure due to the nature of the role

Job Requirements:

  • Strong customer focus with a passion for service excellence
  • Excellent telephone manner and listening skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication, able to simplify complex information
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to issue resolution
  • Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills
  • Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Organised and quality-driven with a keen eye for detail
  • Presentable, professional appearance aligned with high customer care standards
  • Interest in current and emerging technologies
  • Experience in a technical or sales-based role
  • Familiarity with the telecommunications industry
  • Strong problem-solving initiative
  • Positive and adaptable approach to work
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
