Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join their Fund Administration team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to manage a complex portfolio of fund and corporate structures while supporting junior team members and maintaining exceptional client service throughout the full lifecycle. The successful candidate will play a key role in team leadership, client management, and the efficient delivery of fund operations.
Job Duties:
- Administer a complex range of fund and associated corporate structures
- Support the establishment of new entities and transitioning of switch business
- Deliver excellent client service throughout the client lifecycle
- Supervise team workloads, delegate tasks, and provide mentoring and coaching
- Provide cover for managerial responsibilities during periods of absence
- Assist with billing processes and debt settlement
- Contribute to appraisals and monitor team objectives, offering feedback and support
- Act as a mentor to junior staff as part of succession planning
- Respond to queries from clients, colleagues, advisors and non-executive directors
- Maintain strong client and advisor relationships through responsiveness and market knowledge
- Process and coordinate complex fund operations, including investor calls and distributions
- Accurately execute and record all relevant administrative activities
- Act as an authorised signatory in accordance with internal procedures
- Identify process improvements and challenge existing workflows where appropriate
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in fund administration, including recent assistant manager-level responsibilities
- Background in fund company secretarial services
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate team members
- Strong knowledge of AML/KYC legislation and regulatory requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex tasks independently
- Sound technical knowledge of financial services and fund operations
- Deadline-driven with a flexible and collaborative approach
- Working towards or holding a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CGI, chartered accountant, or lawyer)
