Our client is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join their Guernsey-based fiduciary services team. This full-time role is pivotal in leading client relationship management, business development, risk oversight, and team leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing the firm’s strategic objectives locally while maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and governance.
Job Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of client relationships, ensuring strong, profitable engagements
- Develop a deep understanding of clients’ affairs and anticipate their needs
- Apply knowledge of financial, investment, and tax considerations to deliver tailored solutions
- Act as an 'A' signatory on bank accounts and as a director on managed entities
- Lead new business take-ons and play an active role in managing existing client companies
- Drive business growth by networking with intermediaries and attending industry events
- Promote the firm’s reputation by targeting high-calibre clients engaged in legitimate business
- Travel to meet clients and intermediaries, strengthening long-term relationships
- Stay informed about changes in market trends and offshore structuring developments
- Monitor and manage risk in accordance with local legislation and internal policies
- Identify and mitigate risk within client structures and firm operations
- Represent the firm professionally, acting as an ambassador to enhance its profile and reputation
- Implement local business plans aligned with wider group strategy
- Provide leadership to the team, managing recruitment, performance, and development
- Foster a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and excellence
- Mentor senior staff and encourage a proactive approach to change
- Maintain and demonstrate continuing professional development (minimum 25 hours CPD annually)
Job Requirements:
- Educated to degree level in a relevant business subject such as law or accountancy
- Member of a recognised professional body
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in fiduciary services, including at least 5 years in senior management
- Proven experience in offshore fiduciary services and complex client structures
- Strong client relationship management and business development skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Sound knowledge of financial markets and corporate governance
- Familiarity with compliance regulations within the relevant jurisdiction
- Organised, decisive, and adaptable with strong judgement
