Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the Client Compliance team on a permanent, full-time basis. Based in Jersey, this role offers a valuable opportunity for career development, with the successful candidate supporting the delivery of regulatory compliance across private wealth, corporate and fund structures. The position provides exposure to the AMLSP regime and client compliance frameworks and is designed to prepare the individual for future Key Person responsibilities.
Job Duties:
- Provide day-to-day compliance support across a portfolio of regulated and supervised client entities
- Oversee work produced by junior compliance staff, ensuring high standards and regulatory accuracy
- Act as a key contact for Anti-Money Laundering Services Provider (AMLSP) matters within your portfolio
- Support onboarding and periodic review processes in accordance with AMLSP requirements
- Monitor and manage financial crime prevention and compliance obligations across client entities
- Maintain statutory records, filings and system updates accurately and promptly
- Contribute to client and business risk assessments and compliance monitoring activities
- Escalate regulatory concerns appropriately and support the interpretation of compliance guidance
- Mentor junior team members and promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement
- Represent senior team members in internal meetings or client discussions where required
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in compliance or a relevant fiduciary/funds environment
- Actively studying towards or holding a recognised compliance qualification (e.g. ICA)
- Strong knowledge of Jersey’s AML/CFT/CPF regime and JFSC Codes of Practice
- Awareness of Key Person responsibilities within regulated and supervised environments
- Ability to prepare and maintain risk assessments and compliance documentation
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with compliance databases and tools
