Our client is seeking an Assistant Risk and Compliance Officer to join their organisation on a permanent, full-time basis. This role supports the provision of a comprehensive compliance framework across the business, ensuring directors and employees can operate in line with legislation, regulations and internal best practice. You will assist with monitoring activities, client due diligence, compliance registers, and various reporting obligations to help uphold strong governance and regulatory adherence.
Job Duties:
- Supporting members of the Risk and Compliance team as required
- Assisting with the Compliance Monitoring Plan, including timely completion of monitoring tasks, ensuring findings are addressed, and identifying procedural improvements
- Performing daily RiskScreen reviews, including new clients and politically exposed persons (PEPs)
- Assisting in the review of PEPs as required
- Managing the Compliance document cabinets, ensuring client due diligence is appropriately distributed
- Reviewing and summarising updates from the JFSC and Financial Crime Unit websites for the team
- Maintaining and updating Compliance registers
- Assisting with post-take-on reviews
- Completing Compliance tasks related to client onboarding and closures using NavOne
- Supporting ad hoc compliance projects as directed
Job Requirements:
- A strong academic background
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Flexible approach to work and the ability to support a variety of tasks
- Previous experience in compliance or risk functions within financial services is desirable but not essential
