Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join their Risk team on a permanent, full-time basis, based in either Guernsey or Jersey. This role is responsible for leading and delivering a robust quality assurance framework across the organisation’s risk function. The successful candidate will play a key part in enhancing oversight, promoting compliance, and ensuring that risk controls and processes are implemented effectively and consistently.
Job Duties:
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the quality assurance framework across the risk function
- Conduct regular reviews and testing of risk controls and activities to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
- Monitor adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring any breaches or gaps are escalated and addressed
- Produce high-quality reports and insights to support senior management in making informed decisions
- Work collaboratively with risk teams to provide guidance and training on quality assurance standards and expectations
- Identify trends, patterns, or systemic issues through assurance reviews and propose corrective action plans
- Support the embedding of a strong risk culture through consistent messaging and quality standards
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of assurance activity and outcomes
- Assist in preparing for internal and external audits, inspections, and reviews
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in risk management, internal audit, compliance, or quality assurance within the financial services sector
- Strong understanding of regulatory expectations and risk control frameworks
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
- Ability to work independently and influence others across all levels of the business
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and assurance tools or systems
