Intelligence Analyst

Our client is seeking an Intelligence Analyst to join their Intelligence Division on a permanent, full-time basis (35 hours per week). This is a pivotal role focused on the identification and analysis of regulatory risks and threats to the island’s financial services sector. You will convert complex data and information into actionable intelligence to support regulatory decision-making and contribute to the protection of Jersey’s reputation as a leading international finance centre.

Job Duties:

  • Proactively and reactively identify regulatory concerns, threats and emerging risks across regulated and non-regulated entities
  • Conduct horizon scanning to assess potential conduct and financial crime threats
  • Gather and analyse data from a wide range of sources, including open-source and complex datasets
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to exchange intelligence
  • Produce clear, detailed, and timely intelligence reports and presentations for various stakeholders
  • Maintain comprehensive records of research, analysis, and decision-making in internal systems
  • Disseminate intelligence internally and externally in line with established protocols
  • Participate in working groups and strategy meetings to advise on intelligence and regulatory risks
  • Support continuous improvement by acting on stakeholder feedback
  • Assist in the development and upkeep of the Intelligence Division’s policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance to staff on intelligence handling practices

Job Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence to lead discussions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven analytical and research abilities, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent report writing skills and ability to articulate complex findings clearly
  • Background in financial services, with knowledge of financial crime risk and regulatory frameworks
  • Working towards or holding a relevant AML or compliance qualification (or equivalent)
  • Understanding of Jersey’s international regulatory standards is desirable
  • Self-motivated, well-organised and capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • High levels of professional discretion and integrity
  • Commitment to continuous development and a flexible approach to change
