Our client is an independent Guernsey-based fiduciary and fund administration firm specialising in the venture capital sector. They are seeking an Assistant Manager to join their Fund Administration team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role involves acting as a key point of contact for a portfolio of clients, providing accurate deliverables, and supporting the wider fund team under the direction of a manager.
Job Duties:
- Act as the first point of contact for clients, in conjunction with Senior Fund Administrators
- Supervise and support the day-to-day activities of Senior Fund Administrators, Fund Administrators, and Trainee Fund Administrators
- Review and approve work produced by junior team members, including payments (as a 'B signatory' subject to probation and manager agreement)
- Monitor and maintain client mailboxes, ensuring timely responses to queries
- Provide coaching, training and mentoring to the fund administration team
- Assist managers with task completion and workload monitoring
- Review external communications before circulation as necessary
- Lead client work in areas such as fundraising, investor onboarding, client and investor queries, investment transactions, investor transfers, new entity set-ups, due diligence collection, and ad-hoc project work
- Collaborate with other assistant managers to manage workloads and coordinate resourcing across client service teams during peak periods
Job Requirements:
- A proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach
- Excellent organisational, team-working, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong computer literacy and attention to detail
- Practical experience in, or good knowledge of, the financial services industry
- Studying towards or holding a recognised professional qualification (CGI/ICSA, ACCA, ACA), or a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in fund or fiduciary administration
- Ability to interpret fund documentation and understand GFSC regulations, including the Protection of Investors Law and anti-money laundering legislation
