Our client is seeking a Senior Onboarding Executive to join their operations team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is integral in ensuring compliance with JFSC regulations and the requirements of key banking partners. The successful candidate will oversee daily onboarding processes, support audits and regulatory submissions, and contribute to improving operational systems and procedures. The position also involves mentoring and supporting wider teams, including Sales, Account Management, and Client Services.
Job Duties:
- Process client applications using best practice KYC/AML controls in line with JFSC requirements
- Approve applications submitted by other onboarding team members
- Review and update client accounts as part of daily sanctions screening
- Manage and process client periodic reviews
- Handle client and partner requests, identifying trigger events as appropriate
- Support regulatory (NRA) and tax (FATCA & CRS) submissions
- Assist with client and bank audits
- Provide guidance and training to onboarding, sales, account management, and client service teams
- Collaborate on identifying and testing process or system improvements to enhance the client experience
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in onboarding or AML/KYC roles within financial services
- Advanced knowledge of AML/KYC, including customer and enhanced due diligence, sanctions, PEPs, adverse media, and financial crime screening
- Experience onboarding international high-net-worth individuals and complex structures
- Strong knowledge of the JFSC handbook and regulatory expectations
- Understanding of GDPR and FATCA/CRS reporting requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Effective time management and strong understanding of client file management
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. ICA or AML certification)
- Ability to step into a leadership role when needed
- Experience using CRM/workflow management systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to process improvement and operational efficiency
