Our client is seeking experienced Audit Seniors to join their Audit & Assurance department on a full-time basis. The successful candidates must be willing to relocate to Jersey and will receive a relocation allowance to support their move. This role involves managing audit and assurance engagements from planning to completion, working both independently and as part of larger teams. Audit Seniors will liaise with clients, manage engagement deliverables, and contribute to the firm’s quality and compliance objectives.
Job Duties:
- Undertake audits of financial statements and other assurance work
- Manage audit engagements from planning to completion under the oversight of the Audit Manager and Audit Director
- Work collaboratively as part of a wider team on larger audit assignments
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive audit files and working papers
- Liaise with clients to coordinate audit requirements and provide status updates
- Manage engagement tasks including KYC updates, WIP analysis, billing, and ad hoc client work
- Communicate potential engagement overruns to management and agree appropriate actions
- Participate in internal quality control reviews and assist in implementing improvements
- Complete all required professional development training in line with firm policy
Job Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Previous experience in audit or assurance within professional services
- Strong technical knowledge of audit practices and financial reporting standards
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Willingness to relocate to Jersey
