Our client is seeking a Manager Direct & Business Development to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This position is based in the Isle of Man and is only open to individuals who have residency and the right to work in the jurisdiction. The role involves managing and developing new business opportunities for the offshore banking division, overseeing the Direct Team, and building strong relationships with third-party distribution channels. The successful candidate will support the Head of Distribution and contribute to revenue growth and strategic development across designated regions.
Job Duties:
- Lead, manage, and support the Direct Team to achieve defined sales and service targets
- Identify and develop business opportunities across designated jurisdictions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party intermediaries and independent financial advisers
- Support the Head of Distribution in coordinating departmental activities and strategy execution
- Contribute to the creation and execution of the International Personal Banking sales plan
- Deliver excellent client service by owning issues and ensuring timely resolution
- Upskill junior team members on processes, products, and client engagement practices
- Coordinate with business development managers in other regions to maintain consistency and synergy
- Host and support marketing events to promote offshore product offerings and build client networks
- Develop a deep understanding of client and intermediary needs, tailoring solutions accordingly
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Banking, Finance, or Accounting
- 5–7 years’ experience in Personal and Private Banking
- Experience in financial services, preferably within an offshore banking environment
- Knowledge of offshore financial products and intermediary-led sales models
- Strong client relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic planning abilities
- Proactive, commercially focused, and highly organised
- Right to work and reside in the Isle of Man (essential)
