Compliance Monitoring, Assistant Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Compliance Monitoring Assistant Manager to join their Global Compliance team on a full-time basis, based in either Guernsey or Jersey. This permanent role plays a key part in maintaining and enhancing global risk and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they align with jurisdiction-specific legal and regulatory frameworks. You will also contribute to the Compliance Monitoring Programme by assessing the effectiveness of policy controls and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Job Duties:

  • Develop and maintain global risk and compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Undertake independent research and collaborate with internal policy, compliance, and legal teams to update and refine policies.
  • Analyse new legal and regulatory developments to ensure ongoing compliance and recommend enhancements where necessary.
  • Liaise with Business Services teams, including Finance and HR, to support a cohesive approach to regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct testing of policy controls as part of the annual, risk-based Compliance Monitoring Programme.
  • Assist with stakeholder enquiries and contribute to regular compliance reporting, including policy updates and monitoring outcomes.

Job Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a client administration, compliance, risk, or operational control function within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of regulated corporate and fiduciary services, particularly within Jersey, Guernsey, Cayman, and BVI; knowledge of UK or EU regulations is desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of anti-money laundering regulations relevant to Jersey, Guernsey, Cayman, BVI, and the UK.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex information with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Organised and analytical team player with effective time management and problem-solving abilities.
