Our client is seeking an Audit Senior to join their Audit team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Audit Manager, this role involves planning and managing audit assignments, ensuring work is completed to a high standard, on time and within budget. You will play a key role in maintaining audit quality, delivering excellent client service, and contributing to organisational success.
Job Duties:
- Perform pre-audit scoping and preparation, identifying audit risks and evaluating internal controls
- Design audit tests using the firm’s methodology, raising key matters identified during fieldwork
- Complete audit files to a high standard, complying with professional and ethical standards
- Prepare or review financial statements and other management reports as required
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and stay informed of changes in client affairs
- Supervise junior team members on-site, providing coaching and feedback to support development
- Conduct post-assignment performance evaluations and recommend appropriate training
- Monitor work-in-progress and contribute positively to departmental billing
- Promote the firm’s services and values, acting as an ambassador and identifying opportunities for growth
Job Requirements:
- Professionally qualified accountant with at least 3 years of audit experience
- Strong technical understanding of current audit and accounting regulations
- Experienced in auditing a wide range of entities, including those within financial services
- Proficient in audit techniques including planning, interviewing, documentation, testing, and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate junior staff
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to meet deadlines under pressure
