Onboarding Adviser

Our client is seeking an Onboarding Adviser to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role can be based in Alderney (working from home), Guernsey, or Jersey. As part of the client lifecycle team, you will play a key role in enhancing the efficiency and quality of the client onboarding experience by acting as a liaison between internal engagement teams and the KYC Operations Team. You will provide advisory and practical support, ensuring compliance with AML/CFT policies while improving communication and process effectiveness.

Job Duties:

  • Respond to AML-related queries regarding procedures, policies, and systems for KYC
  • Provide regular updates to engagement teams on onboarding status and escalate issues as necessary
  • Guide clients and internal teams through the KYC process, ensuring required documentation is obtained and passed to the relevant centre of excellence
  • Interpret and simplify KYC requirements for engagement teams and clients
  • Act as the first point of contact for queries or additional outreach from the KYC Operations Team
  • Use industry knowledge to avoid unnecessary client outreach and leverage existing data
  • Record time accurately against relevant codes to support management reporting

Job Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of KYC processes, financial regulatory environment, and AML risk implications
  • Familiarity with legal structures of various client types
  • Experience managing client relationships or working in AML/KYC-related roles
  • Confident in escalating issues appropriately and maintaining accountability for output
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • AML certification or similar qualification is desirable
  • Experience with compliance monitoring processes and quality standards is beneficial
  • Knowledge of client structures, regulatory requirements, and complex regulatory environments is advantageous
  • Proactive in problem-solving and process improvement with a digital mindset
