Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager to join their Finance department on a permanent, full-time basis. This hybrid role sits within the Group division and is ideal for a newly qualified accountant or someone working towards qualification. You will join an internal project team focused on enhancing key deliverables, strengthening the internal control environment, and mitigating risks across the finance function.
Job Duties:
- Support the development and maintenance of a robust internal control framework
- Contribute to delivering ad-hoc finance projects as assigned by management
- Assist in preparing and delivering training sessions for the finance team
- Oversee the documentation and publication of departmental policies and procedures
- Help define project scope and objectives in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Coordinate internal resources and external consultants or specialists when required
- Identify and manage risks associated with departmental projects
- Maintain thorough project documentation throughout all stages
- Ensure compliance with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements
- Uphold the organisation’s core values and expected behaviours
- Perform any other duties as required by management
Job Requirements:
- Newly qualified accountant or currently working towards a recognised accountancy qualification
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Familiarity with financial systems and software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
