Our client is seeking a Business Support Administrator to join their busy Business Support team on a full-time basis in the Channel Islands. This role supports both the sales and procurement functions, assisting with software renewals, sales quotes, purchasing activities, and day-to-day administration. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across Guernsey, Jersey, and Dubai to ensure efficient, cost-effective processes and high standards of quality and compliance.
Job Duties:
- Provide administrative support to the sales and procurement team, including data entry, scheduling, and document management
- Manage the full procurement process to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and documentation
- Prepare sales quotes and liaise with the sales team and clients to ensure delivery expectations are met
- Manage software renewals and licensing
- Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing to achieve value for money
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, replenishing stock within agreed thresholds
- Support the Managed Print Services team with printer contract quotes and renewals, spare part orders, and consumables management
- Participate in projects assigned by management
- Comply with local data protection, health and safety legislation, and company policies
- Perform additional administrative duties as required
Job Requirements:
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships in complex vendor environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 with the ability to adapt to internal systems
- Able to work effectively under pressure with excellent attention to detail
- Proactive in identifying problems and implementing solutions
- Capable of handling confidential information discreetly
- Experience in a sales, procurement, or purchasing role, with an understanding of commercial terms and contracts is desirable
- Background in contract and supplier management is also advantageous
