Business Support Administrator

Our client is seeking a Business Support Administrator to join their busy Business Support team on a full-time basis in the Channel Islands. This role supports both the sales and procurement functions, assisting with software renewals, sales quotes, purchasing activities, and day-to-day administration. You will work closely with internal stakeholders across Guernsey, Jersey, and Dubai to ensure efficient, cost-effective processes and high standards of quality and compliance.

Job Duties:

  • Provide administrative support to the sales and procurement team, including data entry, scheduling, and document management
  • Manage the full procurement process to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and documentation
  • Prepare sales quotes and liaise with the sales team and clients to ensure delivery expectations are met
  • Manage software renewals and licensing
  • Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing to achieve value for money
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, replenishing stock within agreed thresholds
  • Support the Managed Print Services team with printer contract quotes and renewals, spare part orders, and consumables management
  • Participate in projects assigned by management
  • Comply with local data protection, health and safety legislation, and company policies
  • Perform additional administrative duties as required

Job Requirements:

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships in complex vendor environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 with the ability to adapt to internal systems
  • Able to work effectively under pressure with excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive in identifying problems and implementing solutions
  • Capable of handling confidential information discreetly
  • Experience in a sales, procurement, or purchasing role, with an understanding of commercial terms and contracts is desirable
  • Background in contract and supplier management is also advantageous
