Our client is seeking a Finance Manager on a permanent basis to support the delivery of financial reporting for trading entities located in the UK and Ireland. This hybrid role sits within the Institutional Client Services division and involves preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts, regulatory returns, statutory financial statements, and audit deliverables. You will also take on team leadership responsibilities, guiding junior staff and ensuring workplans are effectively managed and executed.
Job Duties:
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts
- Prepare and review regulatory returns in line with applicable requirements
- Prepare and review year-end statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS
- Supervise and coach team members while managing team workplans
- Oversee audits of regulated entities at both interim and year-end, liaising with auditors and managing audit queries and deliverables
- Process monthly salary bookkeeping and reconciliations
- Act as primary contact for external tax providers to ensure timely tax filings
- Comply with all regulatory and AML requirements in line with internal risk and compliance procedures
- Uphold the organisation’s core values and professional behaviours
- Carry out any additional duties as required by management
Job Requirements:
- ACCA or ACA qualified
- Strong understanding of accounting standards (UK GAAP and IFRS)
- Proven experience in preparing financial statements
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience managing or supervising team members
