New Business Assistant Manager

Our client is seeking a New Business Assistant Manager to support the delivery of pan-island client take-on services, ensuring all regulatory and internal compliance requirements are met. This is a full-time, permanent position working closely with the wider team to provide a prompt, streamlined onboarding experience across all service lines. The successful candidate will also support the New Business Manager in overseeing the client take-on team to ensure consistency and best practice.

Job Duties:

  • Manage the entire client take-on process, including local and international conflicts checks
  • Undertake initial risk assessments and ensure all client checks are completed to the highest standards
  • Collect, review, and process all client onboarding documentation
  • Manage the risk referrals process for high-risk clients and complete records in the client manager system
  • Liaise with relevant service lines to manage client expectations and ensure a smooth onboarding experience
  • Act as a point of advice on take-on queries, offering practical and business-focused guidance
  • Proactively monitor onboarding progress to ensure timely completion
  • Support training and supervision of new business administrators
  • Escalate any issues to the New Business Manager as required

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to resolve issues effectively
  • Proven time management and organisational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a solutions-focused approach
  • Committed to upholding the highest professional and compliance standards
  • Resilient, proactive and able to multi-task under pressure
  • Ability to delegate tasks appropriately
  • Holds or is willing to study for the International Compliance Association Certificate in KYC and CDD
