Our client is seeking a Client and Office Cashier to join their Finance team. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Jersey, with responsibility for the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing payments across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will maintain cash books, perform reconciliations, and ensure compliance with internal policies and jurisdictional laws. This role demands a detail-oriented individual with a strong client service ethos and the ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team.
Job Duties:
- Maintain the integrity of cash books and Aderant for multiple jurisdictions
- Process incoming payments and bank reconciliations in accordance with jurisdictional requirements
- Input and process outgoing client money payments accurately and on time
- Respond to client and internal queries regarding receipts or unidentified deposits within 24 hours
- Collaborate with the wider Finance Operations team during peak periods and absences
- Respond to queries from fee earners, secretaries, and third parties within 24 hours
- Build strong relationships with Group Finance teams to promote consistency and efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with internal stakeholders and external clients
- Identify and implement system and process improvements
- Ensure full compliance with policies, procedures, and internal controls
Job Requirements:
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role (preferred)
- Familiarity with Aderant software (preferred)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision
- Logical, analytical mindset with a strong sense of initiative
- Commercial awareness and commitment to excellent client service
- Team player with a collaborative and professional approach
