Audit Manager

Our client is seeking an Audit Manager to join their dynamic audit and assurance team on a permanent, full-time basis. This position is based in the Channel Islands and offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of clients, managing audit engagements from planning through to completion. The successful candidate will lead and coach high-performing teams, deliver exceptional client service, and help drive the use of innovative technologies and methodologies within audit processes.

Job Duties:

  • Lead, plan and manage audit engagements from start to finish
  • Build trusted relationships with clients through clear and proactive communication
  • Review the work of audit teams, including those based offshore or in remote delivery centres
  • Coach and develop team members, promoting ownership and progression
  • Resolve challenges to ensure effective team collaboration and delivery
  • Contribute to the digital upskilling of audit teams through use of new technologies
  • Analyse complex audit findings and develop meaningful recommendations
  • Apply insights from stakeholder feedback and industry trends to audit strategies
  • Participate in wider firm initiatives including leadership and innovation activities
  • Ensure audits comply with professional standards and regulatory requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification
  • Minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience, with at least one year as an Audit Manager
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong technical understanding of accounting standards and audit methodology
  • Proven ability to manage teams, budgets and deadlines effectively
  • Commitment to high-quality client service and continuous improvement
  • Experience in financial services is desirable
