Our client is seeking an Audit Manager to join their dynamic audit and assurance team on a permanent, full-time basis. This position is based in the Channel Islands and offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of clients, managing audit engagements from planning through to completion. The successful candidate will lead and coach high-performing teams, deliver exceptional client service, and help drive the use of innovative technologies and methodologies within audit processes.
Job Duties:
- Lead, plan and manage audit engagements from start to finish
- Build trusted relationships with clients through clear and proactive communication
- Review the work of audit teams, including those based offshore or in remote delivery centres
- Coach and develop team members, promoting ownership and progression
- Resolve challenges to ensure effective team collaboration and delivery
- Contribute to the digital upskilling of audit teams through use of new technologies
- Analyse complex audit findings and develop meaningful recommendations
- Apply insights from stakeholder feedback and industry trends to audit strategies
- Participate in wider firm initiatives including leadership and innovation activities
- Ensure audits comply with professional standards and regulatory requirements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification
- Minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience, with at least one year as an Audit Manager
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong technical understanding of accounting standards and audit methodology
- Proven ability to manage teams, budgets and deadlines effectively
- Commitment to high-quality client service and continuous improvement
- Experience in financial services is desirable
