Senior Administrator, Dealing & Settlements

Our client is seeking a Senior Administrator to join their Dealing & Settlements function on a full-time, permanent basis in the Isle of Man. This role involves overseeing a range of investment-related administrative tasks, supporting junior colleagues, and contributing to the effective operation of the team. You will play a key role in transaction processing, asset maintenance, and counterparty due diligence, ensuring service levels are maintained and operational risk is minimised.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee and carry out the daily processing of investment transactions, including placement, creation and settlement
  • Maintain accurate investment records, including assets, trading counterparties and policyholder portfolios
  • Match incoming funds with corresponding transactions and handle asset re-registrations
  • Investigate and resolve stock reconciliation queries
  • Support counterparty anti-money laundering checks to facilitate timely trading and account setup
  • Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for technical queries within the team
  • Provide input on team planning, training, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Lead and engage in meetings and internal communications to support a collaborative team culture
  • Maintain professional communication with internal teams, policyholders, advisers and external counterparties
  • Contribute to change initiatives and project work in support of continuous improvement
  • Ensure team adherence to data protection and internal control procedures

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in financial services, with a focus on investments
  • Strong knowledge of investment instruments including equities, bonds and collective investment schemes
  • Understanding of financial counterparties such as banks, custodians, fund administrators and advisers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach
  • High level of literacy, numeracy and attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Proven ability to deliver strong customer outcomes in a deadline-driven environment
  • Proactive approach to learning and development, including supporting team progression
  • Capable of leading on technical matters and conducting challenging conversations where necessary
  • Organised and adaptable, with strong time management skills
