Our client is seeking a General Manager to join their team in Douglas on a full-time, permanent basis. This on-site role will oversee the day-to-day running of operations, lead the staff team, and ensure a consistently high standard of customer service. The successful candidate must have previous experience managing a pub and will be responsible for supporting financial reporting, stock control, and the implementation of company policies, playing a key part in the overall success and development of the business.
Job Duties:
- Oversee daily operational activities across the business
- Manage, motivate, and support the staff team to deliver high performance
- Ensure outstanding levels of customer satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock effectively
- Assist with financial reporting and budget control
- Uphold and implement company policies and procedures
- Support staff training and ongoing development
- Collaborate with senior management to achieve business goals
- Take a proactive approach to problem-solving and operational improvements
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience managing a pub is essential
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proven experience in delivering high-quality customer service
- Knowledge of inventory management and stock control processes
- Sound understanding of financial reporting and budget monitoring
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a wider management team
- Experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous
