Client Insurance Executive

Our client is seeking a Client Insurance Executive for a permanent, full-time role based in Guernsey. Reporting to a Team Leader, you will manage insurance and reinsurance administration for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance while maintaining strong client relationships and supporting the wider insurance team.

Job Duties:

  • Manage all insurance and reinsurance administrative matters for client portfolios
  • Liaise with the wider insurance team to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Prepare and review board packs, attend board meetings, and present insurance updates
  • Draft board meeting minutes and follow up on matters arising
  • Establish underwriting and reinsurance programmes, ensuring correct matching of policies
  • Prepare and review policy wordings and renewal reports
  • Create renewal presentation packs for reinsurers
  • Review and settle claims and bordereaux; monitor and collect outstanding reinsurance recoveries
  • Liaise with external parties including the GFSC, legal advisers, and auditors
  • Prepare insurance accounts, triangulations, and underwriting statistics
  • Verify all reinsurance documentation against inward policies
  • Process new policies, renewals, and cancellations in a timely manner
  • Respond to new client enquiries as allocated
  • Monitor and review solvency and capital adequacy, taking action as needed
  • Mentor junior team members and review work prepared by Client Insurance Assistants
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Participate actively in internal meetings and initiatives
  • Submit accurate and timely timesheets
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and ethical working environment

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a professional, client-focused environment
  • Cert CII or equivalent qualification, or willingness to study towards one
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work in a dynamic and evolving environment
  • A commitment to the values of empathy, engagement, excellence, and expertise
