Our client is seeking a Client Take-on Manager to join them on a full-time, permanent basis. This key role involves managing a small team and overseeing the efficient onboarding of clients across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, Caribbean, and the Far East. You will ensure that all onboarding processes comply with relevant legal and regulatory obligations while promoting a strong culture of risk awareness, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
Job Duties:
- Lead, manage and develop the Client Take-on team to ensure knowledge, efficiency and excellent client service
- Monitor onboarding progress, ensuring timely completion and compliance with internal procedures
- Coordinate and streamline client take-on processes in conjunction with the compliance team
- Maintain performance standards by monitoring key performance indicators and aligning goals to wider business objectives
- Manage both ad-hoc and ongoing client screening and escalate any issues or risks promptly to relevant stakeholders
- Liaise with the compliance function to obtain guidance and sign-off of client take-on files
- Oversee monitoring processes for matters open for over one year
- Act as subject matter expert and provide training, mentoring and guidance to team members
- Remain current on legal and regulatory changes affecting client onboarding procedures
- Support the Head of Risk and other departments as required
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a legal or professional services environment
- Demonstrable leadership and team management experience
- Strong working knowledge of AML legislation and client onboarding regulations
- Educated to A-level standard or equivalent; ICA or similar compliance qualification desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to prioritise, delegate, and work under pressure
- Competent in managing workflows and using relevant IT systems effectively
- Committed to continuous professional development and high compliance standards
