Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to join their Trust & Corporate team, based in the Isle of Man. This pivotal role involves serving as a Board Member on the company Board while acting as Director/Trustee on specific client cases, providing expert advisory and fiduciary services. The position focuses on new business development and enhancing existing client relationships, contributing to the company's aim for sustainable growth and excellence within the fiduciary sector.
Job Duties:
- Oversee the day-to-day management and administration of a portfolio of client entities, supported by administration teams.
- Provide supporting fiduciary functions to non-engagement cases when necessary, ensuring compliance with the four eyes principles.
- Meet financial targets related to chargeable hours and recovery rates.
- Assist administration teams with monitoring debtors, ensuring BAU income and new business income targets are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and intermediaries, promoting a quality service ethos within the wider team.
- Share historic client knowledge with the company employees to foster effective client relationship management.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures according to the business Manuals, Policies, and Procedures.
- Lead management meetings and NBAC meetings as required.
- Develop and implement business strategies aligned with the board plan, reporting quarterly on results to the board.
- Collaborate with Group Commercial teams to devise new business streams and ensure alignment with the Group's commercial strategy.
- Assist with marketing efforts and contribute to business development strategies.
- Support employee development and mentoring, facilitating their technical and practical training needs.
- Uphold a communication ethos that fosters good relations between management and employees.
- Ensure compliance with all AML and regulatory requirements relevant to the role.
- Work closely with the Board of Directors, particularly the Managing Director, on strategic business development initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and talent scouting in collaboration with HR.
- Guide and develop the team in accordance with the company People Management Framework.
Job Requirements:
- Holds a relevant professional qualification (e.g. Accountant, Lawyer, Chartered Governance Professional, or Trust Practitioner such as ACCA, CGI, or STEP).
- Minimum of 8 years post-qualifying experience in the fiduciary sector or at least 10 years of industry experience.
- Excellent understanding of the fiduciary services business and in-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework.
- Proven ability to work under pressure while prioritising workloads effectively.
- Positive attitude complemented by strong problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership qualities with a proactive "get things done" mentality.
- Strong management skills and a successful track record in leading teams.
