Our client is seeking a dedicated Investment Accounts Officer to join their Finance Investment Accounting Team. This role is vital for maintaining precise accounting, financial reporting, and analysis for investment assets within life companies. The successful candidate will assist in the production of Singapore ILP financial statements for audit and sign-off, ensuring that accurate and timely information is delivered to support effective management and compliance with regulatory and group obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing and recording of multicurrency investment-related transactions and policy corrections within the Back Office environment.
- Producing complete internal control reconciliations within agreed timescales, ensuring accurate recording of company and investment fund policy transactions.
- Generating accurate monthly financial reports for internal and external customers within specified timescales.
- Meeting audit deliverables and compliance standards for investment reporting, in line with regulatory and group accounting requirements.
- Timely production of Asset Look-through data as required by Isle of Man Financial Services Authority Risk Based Capital Regulations, collaborating with the actuarial function for accurate solvency calculations.
- Challenging procedures, controls, and reporting processes to enhance reporting quality, analytical value, and the efficiency of the team's operations.
- Interrogating the Group’s accounting, policy, and investment systems to interpret data for solving technical issues.
- Contributing actively to corporate projects as needed.
- Producing financial statements and documentation as mandated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
- Providing training and support for junior team members and cross-training colleagues as required.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in finance, investments, or relevant accounting fields.
- Understanding of investment transactions and/or accounting principles across diverse asset types.
- Experience with investment and/or accounting systems (e.g. SUN, InvestPro, Accurate).
- Highly numerate and analytical with the ability to interpret and understand results.
- Clear thinking and problem-solving skills with the capacity to unravel complex issues.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and balance competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, with stakeholders at all levels.
- A self-starter with a positive outlook, willing to adapt and uphold company values.
