Temporary Internal Communications & Change Coordinator - 6 months

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic temporary Internal Communications and Change Coordinator for a 6-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications and Engagement, this pivotal role is part of a collaborative team focused on ensuring that colleagues receive the right information at the right time, contributing to the overall efficiency of the business. The successful candidate will assist in the daily management of internal communications, engage with various stakeholders, and support the delivery of internal communication and change initiatives. This role not only requires creativity but also a keen eye for detail to enhance employee engagement and awareness.

Job Duties:

  • Work closely with the Head of Internal Communications and Engagement to implement internal communications and engagement activities.
  • Coordinate the calendar of internal communication campaigns, collaborating with subject matter experts and area owners to support the company culture.
  • Write and edit a variety of content for communications campaigns and projects, including Viva Engage posts, team meeting notes, intranet content, FAQs, video scripts, and emails.
  • Assist and support the people, particularly SMEs, in their internal communication efforts.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of internal communication channels (Viva Engage), providing user assistance and training.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely management of internal and external communications.
  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of colleague calls, including quarterly updates and 'Ask Me Anything' sessions.
  • Ensure that all internal communication content aligns with our brand and tone of voice.
  • Schedule and coordinate larger team-wide workshops and project meetings.
  • Maintain team intranet sites and support the archiving of communications for successful documentation of campaigns.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and present innovative ideas to improve communication strategies.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in a role with transferable skills into Internal Communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders at all levels.
  • High levels of accuracy in proofreading and drafting, with a passion for attention to detail.
  • Superior time management and organisational skills, able to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficient IT skills, including familiarity with Viva Engage, SharePoint Online, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to create visually compelling content.
  • A 'completer-finisher' with accountability for projects from inception to delivery.
