Associate, Technical Trust Client Corporate Governance

Our client seeks an Associate, Technical Trust Client Corporate Governance, to deliver a proactive and efficient Client Fiduciary Governance (CFG) function within the Private Client Fiduciary Services (PCFS) business. This senior role requires active collaboration within the Technical Trust team and the wider PCFS team. The successful candidate will manage governance-related issues effectively to mitigate potential financial, legal, operational, and regulatory risks, thereby safeguarding the firm’s reputation and ensuring the best interests of clients are upheld. This role is full-time, with expectations for all employees to work in the office from mid-September 2025, with flexibility for up to one day of remote work per week.

Job Duties:

  • Review and record fiduciary decisions, ensuring compliance with relevant constitutional documents and jurisdictional laws.
  • Form and dissolve Managed Entities in preferred jurisdictions.
  • Maintain statutory records and register annual validations for Jersey/Guernsey/Foreign Company filings.
  • File local tax returns and foreign economic substance notifications.
  • Manage relationships with third parties, including registered agents, tax offices, and internal departments such as PCFS, Onboarding, Cessations, Data Management, and IT.
  • Delegate PCFS workflows, optimising work distribution within CFG.
  • Ensure timely execution of CFG project work due to regulatory or internal changes.
  • Enhance and develop CFG procedures and processes, including required IT enhancements.
  • Mentor and coach colleagues within CFG.
  • Support operational and strategic projects requiring relevant technical expertise.
  • Provide technical guidance to the PCFS and within the CFG team.

Job Requirements:

  • Full professional qualification (legal, governance or corporate secretarial) from a recognised provider.
  • Maintenance of the annual CPD requirements established by the JFSC and/or relevant professional body.
  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations concerning fiduciary service best practices, governance, and data protection.
  • Holding or studying for an internationally recognised professional qualification, or proven experience in trust/company administration with basic accounting knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex matters independently while seeking support where necessary.
  • Understanding of fiduciary and corporate structures, alongside regulatory, legal, and fiscal issues.
