Claims & Underwriting Administrator

Our client is seeking a dedicated Claims & Underwriting Administrator to join their dynamic team in either Guernsey or Navan. This full-time position reports to the Claims Manager/Associate and plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional claims administration assistance to the Claims teams. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in processing client communications, conducting daily reporting, and liaising with medical professionals—all while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. This is an opportunity to contribute to customer retention strategies and support the business in achieving its objectives by providing stellar administration services throughout the lifespan of their group risk products.

Job Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive claims administration support for life, critical illness, and income protection/disability claims on both Irish and international schemes.
  • Ensure efficient management of all claims administration tasks, adhering to agreed turnaround times and best practices.
  • Maintain effective relationships with brokers and clients, delivering high-quality communication and support.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders, including the firm’s Group of companies, reinsurers, and medical professionals.
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients regarding escalations, queries, and complaints.
  • Generate and maintain accurate reports detailing claims status and financial transactions.
  • Uphold operational procedures and ensure effective communication across multi-jurisdictional offices.
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with all regulatory obligations.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an office-based environment is essential.
  • A Business-Related Degree is necessary.
  • Excellent analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly Excel and Word, is critical.
  • Strong organisational skills and solid communication abilities.
  • Capability to work towards tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional development in the industry.
