Revenue Control Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced finance professional to join their Finance team as a Revenue Control Manager. In this pivotal role, you'll take charge of the day-to-day revenue function, leading the billing and cash collection teams to enhance working capital management, improve cash flow, and mitigate exposure to bad debt. Working closely with the Finance Leadership team, you will receive expert guidance and support to develop your skills and make a significant impact in this growing and dynamic business. If you’re passionate about finance and team development, this opportunity is for you. This is a full-time position with a focus on optimising the firm's financial operations. You will collaborate with the Head of Finance Operations to manage the organisation's working capital while leading and developing a dedicated team of Revenue Controllers and billing administrators.

Job Duties:

  • Manage the firm's working capital across all offices in partnership with the Head of Finance Operations.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the Revenue Controllers, Billing, and e-billing administrators.
  • Collaborate with fee earners and partners to minimise lock-up from work in progress to cash.
  • Ensure global client and matter fee arrangements are correctly implemented and adhered to.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with partners through regular review meetings to discuss accounts receivable balances.
  • Provide detailed input for accurate debtor valuations on a periodic basis.
  • Conduct regular and ad hoc reporting for the CFO, Head of Finance Operations, partners, fee earners, and clients.
  • Identify potential problems and escalate as necessary to maximise recoveries.
  • Serve as a referral point for the revenue controllers in the team.
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties or projects as requested by the Head of Finance Operations and Finance leadership team.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven track record in a partnership culture and/or professional services environment.
  • Demonstrable leadership and team management experience, with a strong capability to develop and motivate a team.
  • Confident and effective communicator, able to operate at all organisational levels.
  • High levels of initiative and decision-making capabilities, comfortable in a results-driven environment with a focus on accuracy.
  • Effective workload and time management skills for yourself and others.
  • Working knowledge of financial reporting systems within a large and complex business.
