They are currently looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join their dynamic finance team based in Jersey. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will support essential financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial information crucial for informed decision-making. This role involves collaborating with senior stakeholders across the business to provide valuable insights into financial performance, thereby contributing to strategic initiatives and fostering business growth.
Job Duties:
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
- Prepare financial models, including revenue and expense projections, for strategic planning.
- Analyse variances between actual financial results and budget/forecast, identifying trends and actionable insights.
- Support the preparation of periodic management reporting, including performance analysis and financial summaries.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across various financial systems and reports.
- Monitor and report on business trends and performance indicators that impact profitability and operational efficiency.
- Act as a business partner with divisional management to ensure they comprehend their performance against the group’s key KPIs.
Job Requirements:
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, or CIMA would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in data analysis, financial modelling, and reporting.
- Experience using NavOne is beneficial but not essential.
- Experience using SQL for data extraction and manipulation is beneficial but not required.
- Prior experience working within a finance function.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards relevant to the fiduciary and fund services sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large volumes of data, identifying trends and key insights.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach.
