Monitoring & Periodic Reviews Manager

Our client is seeking a Monitoring & Periodic Reviews Manager to join their Business Risk Management team. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring that first-line risk-related advice and assurance is effectively provided to stakeholders across various business units and corporate functions. The focus is on maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies at Standard Bank Offshore, thereby fostering a culture of quality, control, and transparent risk ownership.

Job Duties:

• Lead the Periodic Review team to implement a robust quality control mechanism aligned with relevant policies and procedures.
• Drive the continuous improvement of Business Risk Management frameworks, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders for clear communication regarding control breaches and necessary remedial actions.
• Engage regularly with clients to clarify expectations and ensure sustainable client relations.
• Manage team resources effectively to meet strategic business requirements while fostering a high-performance culture.

Job Requirements:

• 8-10 years of experience in Business Risk Management/Control and Onboarding within the financial services industry, with a focus on Operational Risk Management.
• Significant experience managing controls, testing, oversight of key risks, and leading teams.
• Ability to build relationships and engage with stakeholders effectively.
