Our client is seeking a Compliance Administrator to support the day-to-day compliance administration of client entities. This role is also open to Trainee level candidates. The Compliance Administrator will be responsible for addressing all Customer Due Diligence (CDD) queries and reviews relating to clients and investors, ensuring adherence to various regulatory requirements. The role necessitates a proactive approach to supporting the wider compliance team in upholding policies and procedures, delivering excellent client services, and maintaining the company's reputation.
Job Duties:
- Support the provision of compliance advisory services to the corporate services team.
- Undertake initial CDD reviews for the onboarding of new clients and investors.
- Conduct periodic and trigger event CDD reviews for investors as required.
- Act as the initial point of contact for any screening hits identified by the administration team.
- Ensure overnight screening is conducted on all relevant parties and review potential hits, escalating where necessary.
- Assist in the completion of the Compliance Monitoring Programme for client entities and the organisation.
- Ensure timely completion of annual PEP reviews.
- Maintain up-to-date registers and regularly chase outstanding actions.
- Support the monitoring and updating of internal compliance policies and procedures, ensuring consistency with regulatory obligations.
- Maintain awareness of industry best practices and developments related to applicable regulatory laws and guidance.
- Ensure compliance systems are current.
- Assist in preparing compliance reporting for both the organisation and client entities.
- Conduct regulatory reporting as required.
- Undertake other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- 1+ years of relevant experience within the financial services sector, preferably in a Trust Company Business or Fund Services Business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to foster close working relationships.
- A flexible approach to work with strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation capabilities.
- Strong IT proficiency.
- A sound understanding of local regulatory requirements.
- An International Compliance Association (ICA) certificate or diploma is preferred but not essential, as support will be provided to complete a relevant ICA qualification after the probationary period.
