Trainee Client Accountant

Job Duties:

• Assist with a range of day-to-day tasks including maintaining the chart of accounts to ensure payments and sources of funds can be processed efficiently
• Understand the different requirements and processes for various categories of assets and liabilities
• Maintain and update accounting registers on the system
• Assist the team with bookkeeping
• Support the team with the preparation of client reporting
• Ensure timesheets are completed daily

Job Requirements:

• Educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent
• Some office or general administrative experience would be advantageous but not essential
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with colleagues
• Excellent written and verbal English
• Strong IT skills with a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Willingness to learn both through professional qualifications and on-the-job training
• An interest in understanding the different areas of the company, the services provided, and the organisational values and culture
• Basic knowledge of financial markets and offshore fiduciary services would be beneficial
