Our client is seeking a Supervising Accountant to support the Central Finance department, focusing on accounting, financial reporting, and analysis. This full-time role is integral to ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while maintaining the general ledger. You will be responsible for producing comprehensive financial statements that support effective decision-making. The role will demand a keen eye for detail to manage the month-end close process. Collaborating with diverse teams, you will provide financial expertise and support for annual budgeting and forecasting. Job Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Manage the data input of bookkeepers within the group.
- Oversee the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, reviewing reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports, including Profit and Loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Lead the periodic billing cycles for the operational entities.
- Support the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide necessary financial expertise and support.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and internal controls.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in coordinating audits and compliance activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to provide financial expertise and support.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 4-6 years’ relevant experience.
- Educated to A ‘Levels standard or equivalent.
- Attainment of a relevant professional qualification, e.g. ACCA, ICA, or equivalent.
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Capacity to build morale and team spirit while acting as an ambassador of the group's values.
