Senior / Fund Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior / Fund Accountant to provide efficient, timely, and high-quality accounting services to a portfolio of fund administration clients. This role plays a critical part in assisting the management team to develop new business opportunities and enhance the level of client service and profitability. The position requires a minimum of 2-3 years’ accounting experience within the offshore funds industry and offers an opportunity to work in a growing and dynamic organisation. Job Duties:

  • Undertaking all aspects of accounting matters for a portfolio of fund structures, including bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, preparation of financial statements and investor capital accounts, and capital adequacy and solvency tests.
  • Calculating management and performance fees, handling ad-hoc client and investor queries.
  • Agreeing timetables, ensuring adherence, and maintaining proactive communication throughout the process.
  • Co-ordinating the audit process on various companies and fund structures.
  • Advising on potential accounting issues and current best practices, sharing knowledge, expertise, and guidance with both the team and clients.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
  • Developing client-specific knowledge to facilitate the delivery of ad-hoc queries.
  • Undertaking signatory responsibilities as required.
  • Ensuring that all activities comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Updating timesheets on a daily basis.
  • Assisting in the training and development of other staff members.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ accounting experience in the offshore funds industry.
  • A recognised accounting qualification with familiarity in UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to set priorities and manage deadlines effectively.
