Revenue Finance Clerk

Our client is seeking a Revenue Finance Clerk to join their Finance department in Guernsey. This full-time role will support the management of accurate financial and management accounting records specific to the firm’s revenue streams. The Revenue Finance Clerk will assist the Management Accountant by ensuring all revenue-related transactions are recorded accurately and with integrity. This includes overseeing debtor accounts, managing reconciliations, and processing refunds in accordance with company practices. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of financial reporting and will be involved in training and supervising junior team members. Job Duties:

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of all record-keeping and accounting processes within Billing, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cashbook and Revenue Recognition.
  • Assist in maintaining the integrity of the General Ledger and periodic reconciliations.
  • Manage debtor accounts and implement credit control measures to recover funds.
  • Perform accurate and timely bank reconciliations with the Passenger Service System.
  • Process all revenue-related refunds as instructed by the Commercial team.
  • Assist in the completion of monthly accounts for review by department heads.
  • Support audit queries and prepare necessary reports.
  • Contribute to developing departmental processes for improved internal controls.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by the Management Accountant.
  • Authorise bank payments as part of the team of approvers.
  • Oversee the work of junior support staff and provide guidance as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in accounts receivable, revenue accounting, or credit control.
  • Proficient in relevant accounting software and Microsoft packages.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive in meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to address challenges promptly and efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
