Assistant Store Manager

Our client is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who will play a vital role in creating an unforgettable retail experience. The successful candidate will support the Store Manager in optimising store performance, ensuring that customer satisfaction remains at the heart of operations. The role involves hands-on leadership and team development, all delivered in a vibrant, inspiring atmosphere aligned with the company's brand. This is a full-time position and includes various responsibilities aimed at maintaining the highest standards of retail excellence.

Job Duties:

  • Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional standards of behaviour to uphold the brand's integrity.
  • Drive customer service excellence, setting high standards to exceed expectations.
  • Train, coach, and develop the team, supporting appraisals and performance reviews.
  • Analyse financial data and leverage local knowledge to maximise sales and exceed KPI targets.
  • Ensure operational efficiency through effective scheduling and cost management.
  • Implement the retail plan and execute visual merchandising to meet company standards.
  • Oversee stock management, health and safety, and loss prevention.
  • Maintain effective communication with Head Office to optimise stock management.
  • Assume Store Manager responsibilities in their absence to ensure ongoing success.
  • Champion social and environmental responsibility initiatives in alignment with the company's mission.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous management experience in a retail environment, clothing retail preferred but not essential.
  • Proven ability to analyse commercial reports and work with KPIs to support decision-making.
  • Strong experience in operational, stock, IT, and cash management.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop a team.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with a strong ambition to succeed.
  • Capability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and work independently.
  • IT literate with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
