Relationship Manager

Our client is seeking a Relationship Manager to join their Financial Intermediaries team. This is a full-time role designed to enhance the team's performance and the broader organisational proposition through a collaborative approach. The successful candidate will focus on developing and strengthening relationships within the Trust and Corporate Service Provider market in Switzerland, including client risk management activities.

Job Duties:

  • Deliver outstanding service by placing clients at the centre of all activities.
  • Act as the key contact for new accounts and business opportunities, fostering relationships at all levels to promote the organisation's services.
  • Conduct joint meetings with colleagues to showcase the full range of propositions offered.
  • Travel to Switzerland several times a year to engage with colleagues, clients, and introducers.
  • Manage and develop existing client relationships to build and maintain the portfolio while identifying new business opportunities aligned to client needs.
  • Collaborate with clients to explore lending, cash management, foreign exchange, custody, and investment opportunities.
  • Support the client entertainment programme within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with local and relevant Swiss regulations at all times.
  • Perform compliance monitoring activities for the portfolio, adhering to monitoring plans.
  • Assess and present new client accounts to the Business Acceptance Forum, ensuring a strong grasp of the legal and regulatory environment.
  • Collaborate with other teams to create a unified client strategy for the Swiss trust market and identify referral opportunities.
  • Work closely with client onboarding and compliance teams to ensure account opening and risk assessment tasks meet AML procedures.
  • Achieve personal targets and objectives aligned with the agreed strategy.
  • Monitor financial performance and address any shortcomings promptly to ensure objectives are met.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong integrity and an emphasis on treating customers fairly.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of informing and negotiating effectively.
  • Strong evaluation skills to understand client needs and create tailored solutions.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and proactive marketing abilities, including management of a LinkedIn profile.
  • High levels of accuracy and personal organisation, with strong time management capabilities.
  • Experience in sales, business development, and relationship management.
  • Understanding of treasury, capital markets, and lending practices.
  • Knowledge of investment markets including bonds, equities, and structured solutions.
  • Exposure to regulatory risk management within a large financial institution.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and goal-oriented.
  • Initiative in follow-up sales activities.
  • Detailed knowledge of the organisation's operations and the surrounding legal and regulatory environment.
  • Familiarity with account opening procedures, banking products, and service delivery.
  • Industry-relevant qualification or a commitment to work towards one is ideal.
