Our client is seeking a Manager for Global Accounting who will work closely with senior leaders and members of the global Client Accounting team to provide accounting services for a diverse range of client entities within Governance Services. This full-time position focuses on delivering technically accurate accounts and periodic reports for a varied portfolio of clients, including unit trusts, companies, partnerships, and foundations, all in accordance with agreed deadlines.
Job Duties:
- Effectively manage day-to-day activities of staff reporting directly to you, ensuring work is planned and allocated to meet client requirements and deadlines.
- Collaborate with colleagues across all accounting locations, providing explanations, advice, and accounting support as required.
- Ensure work is completed efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Timely update central accounts status records for monitoring and reporting purposes.
- Adhere to policies and guidelines on team member objective setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
- Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements, including complex accounting work.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in client entity databases such as Quickbooks, Viewpoint, and Yardi.
- Develop a detailed understanding of transactions and liaise with your line manager when necessary.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, auditors, and third-party service providers.
- Collaborate with client administration and other colleagues globally.
- Ensure consistency of accounting service levels across all clients and resolve any identified issues swiftly.
- Act in accordance with the firm's policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain required Continuing Professional Development levels for your role and any professional bodies of which you are a member.
Job Requirements:
- Qualified ACCA/ACA or qualified by relevant experience, with good up-to-date technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, including practical application.
- Knowledge of US GAAP would be an advantage.
- Previous experience with accounting systems, particularly Viewpoint and Yardi, is desirable.
- Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in managing and prioritising tasks, time, and people to meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- A positive and flexible approach to work.
