Senior Compliance Administrator

Our client is seeking a Senior Compliance Administrator to join their dedicated and professional team in Guernsey on a full-time basis. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual to contribute meaningfully to the growth and success of the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing complex Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews for structures with multiple levels and will engage in preparing or approving Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) checklists while identifying and mitigating high-risk factors. You will also play a key role in delegating CDD tasks to junior team members with appropriate oversight and will need to possess a strong understanding of counterparty CDD to effectively guide the administration team on compliance requirements. This position also involves assessing screening platform hits promptly and ensuring that transaction monitoring is carried out in accordance with policies and procedures. The administrator will conduct initial and periodic reviews for clients, maintain an up-to-date tracker, and compile information for reports and board packs.

Job Duties:

  • Completing complex CDD reviews for structures with multiple levels
  • Preparing or approving EDD checklists and identifying high-risk factors
  • Delegating CDD tasks to junior team members with suitable oversight
  • Advising the administration team on counterparty CDD requirements
  • Assessing hits from the screening platform in a timely manner
  • Ensuring transaction monitoring is conducted in compliance with policies and procedures
  • Scheduling and undertaking client initial and periodic reviews
  • Completing Compliance Monitoring Plans (CMPs) to a high standard
  • Collaborating with senior team members to collate information for Compliance Officer reports and board packs
  • Reviewing the GFSC website for updates and drafting compliance report sections
  • Identifying breaches of rules and providing summaries to senior team members
  • Proposing solutions to rectify compliance breaches and errors
  • Managing the new business process until handover to the manager
  • Overseeing the compliance mailbox and ensuring timely task completion by junior team members
  • Reviewing and overseeing the work completed by junior team members
  • Handling complex queries and coaching junior staff as needed
  • Acting as the day-to-day contact for ongoing queries and requests
  • Performing any ad-hoc duties as required

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a compliance role
  • Educated to at least ‘A’ level standard or equivalent; a degree or similar qualification is preferred
  • Relevant AML/compliance qualification (e.g., ICA Compliance Diploma/Certificate or AML Diploma/Certificate)
