Senior / HR Advisor

Our client is a rapidly developing global provider of private wealth, corporate, and fund services with a strong presence in ten international offices. In response to ongoing business expansion, they are seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join their HR team. This role involves working closely with the Head of HR to support the implementation of the people strategy. You will play a key role in fostering an inclusive workplace culture while managing a wide variety of HR activities across the organisation. The Senior HR Advisor will deliver a high-performing operational HR service, acting as a trusted partner to both managers and employees. This position combines strategic input with operational excellence, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and alignment with business objectives. You will focus on supporting divisions in areas such as employee lifecycle management, performance management, payroll, employee relations, and recruitment.

Job Duties:

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR queries from directors, managers, and employees, providing advice and guidance on HR matters in accordance with policies and procedures, escalating issues to the Senior HR team as necessary.
  • Attend meetings related to absence, performance management, welfare, or disciplinary matters, providing support as required.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and participate in activities that foster a positive work culture and wellbeing.
  • Oversee administration tasks linked to the employee lifecycle, including processes for starters and leavers, contract preparation, and pre-screening.
  • Coordinate activities for new starters, including welcome sessions, induction, and introductions.
  • Manage monthly payroll processing in collaboration with the finance team and payroll provider.
  • Maintain HR records and documentation, ensuring accurate updates of internal databases.
  • Ensure HR policies are updated to comply with regulatory requirements and current legislation.
  • Produce ad-hoc reports as requested.
  • Assist managers in driving the annual performance cycle, including goal planning, coaching, and reviews.
  • Monitor absence metrics and support the implementation of the absence management programme.
  • Collate and verify accurate monthly payroll data.
  • Use HR software for data input and employee record maintenance.
  • Provide end-to-end recruitment administrative support to hiring managers, including the creation of job descriptions and attendance at recruitment interviews.
  • Ensure timely production and circulation of job adverts.
  • Support diversity and inclusion initiatives related to talent management and acquisition.
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives as required, and undertake any other ad hoc duties as necessary.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an HR environment, with a willingness to work towards a HR qualification.
  • High degree of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Proficient in IT, particularly with Microsoft applications and HRIS systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with individuals at all levels, including senior management.
  • Knowledge of current employment legislation and an interest in HR trends and issues.
  • Practical, methodical, and organised approach, with the ability to resolve problems swiftly.
  • Driven, determined, with excellent writing skills and attention to detail.
