Accountant

Our client is seeking a qualified Accountant with extensive experience in tax and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Client Accounting or Senior Bookkeeping to a high level. Our client values high-quality and accurate bookkeeping as the foundation of their services and business. The majority of clients are local sole traders and SMEs, and the successful candidate is expected to have a personable nature and a "get-up-and-go" attitude. Familiarity with accounting software is essential, ideally including Xero, although experience with Sage or QuickBooks is also acceptable. Those who have only worked with internal or purpose-built systems may not be suitable for this role. The client is looking for an individual who can assist in the opening and establishment of a second office in the coming months.

Job Duties:

• Manage tax and compliance requirements for clients
• Provide high-quality client accounting and bookkeeping services
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to local regulations
• Build strong relationships with local sole traders and SMEs
• Assist in the opening and establishment of a second office
• Collaborate with the existing team to enhance operational efficiency
• Use accounting software effectively to manage client accounts
• Provide support and guidance to clients on financial matters

Job Requirements:

• Qualified or qualified by experience (QBE) Accountant
• Proven experience in Client Accounting or Senior Bookkeeping
• Strong understanding of tax and compliance regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Enthusiasm for high-quality bookkeeping and client service
