Our client is seeking a new team member to support the senior members of the Compliance team in ensuring the business meets legislative and regulatory requirements. This full-time role involves various responsibilities that contribute to maintaining compliance standards within the organisation. Duties include assisting with the monitoring of adherence to relevant regulations, policies, procedures, and controls, as well as completing validation testing based on agreed parameters. The role also involves notifying management of any issues that arise, with recommendations for change if applicable, and assisting with the research, drafting, and refining of compliance monitoring test criteria. The successful candidate will promote a positive compliance culture while providing support to the Country Compliance Officer and other key roles within the compliance function. Additional responsibilities include preparing documentation related to queries from law enforcement and regulatory agencies and ensuring timely reporting for Committees and Boards. The role also encompasses identifying data quality issues, recommending solutions, and implementing changes, all while maintaining compliance and risk registers.
Job Duties:
- Assist with monitoring adherence to relevant regulations, policies, procedures, and controls.
- Complete validation testing based on agreed parameters.
- Notify management of any issues arising, with recommendations for change if applicable.
- Assist with research, drafting, and refining compliance monitoring test criteria.
- Promote a positive compliance culture.
- Provide support to the Country Compliance Officer and other key compliance roles.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation related to queries from law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
- Produce timely reporting for Committees and Boards periodically.
- Monitor relevant websites and disseminate information to stakeholders.
- Communicate compliance and risk management requirements to internal and external clients; address queries and concerns.
- Assist with the delivery of employee training.
- Notify management of any discovery of standards not met, with recommendations for rectification or improvement.
- Identify data quality issues and recommend solutions.
- Take ownership of specific tasks as delegated by senior compliance individuals.
- Review sanctions and other related alerts, escalating as required.
- Maintain compliance and risk registers.
- Assist with local and Group compliance projects as required.
